What's Happening
- NATO's Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Center detailed a new artificial intelligence model that gives Ukrainian forces a map of expected Russian drone activity, Business Insider reported.
- The system, called Initiative 13, covers territory 5 to 50 kilometers behind the line of contact and divides that space into geographical cells to forecast threats.
- The model analyzes previous drone deployments, weather conditions, terrain, and distance to the front line to generate next-day predictions.
Why It Matters
Predictive AI gives military commanders a tactical advantage against continuous drone warfare. Forecasting strike zones allows forces to position equipment and personnel outside high-risk areas before attacks occur.
